Best Router To Stop Video Game Lagging?

What is the best router for stopping video game lagging? First, I have the XBox 360 and the PS3. I don't used wireless on them anymore because I thought that was causing the problem so I connected the lead to make them wired so that the connect is going straight in the consoles. The lagging is still pretty bad. Nothing is downloading in the PC at the same time to slow the connection down and even when the PC is off the lagging is still going on even though my consoles indicate I have a 100% connection. I noticed things are slightly better when the PC is on and left idle. for some reason things are also slightly better in the evenings but that is strange because more people are likely to be on-line and the more people on can clutter the server. I'm not sure what is going on. The game that I'm having lagging with is GTA 4. Other games are fine. I've contacted Rockstar about this a few times and at first they said they would investigate it and then they said there's nothing they can do due to other servers mixing in and other people with bad connections. Fare enough, but why is my 100% connection causing me to get slaughtered in Deathmatch games all the time and other GTA 4 Multi-player games where we fight each other from my 100% connection? If others have bad connections mixing in then they should be slaughered in the games for having bad connections. I feel as if I'm firing blanks when they fire bullets. I do wonder if my router is causing it. This is why I asked what the best router is. I forgot the name of mine but I know it's dumb because the company are based somewhere in Europe and there's no British phone number, only an e-mail address and they never get back to me.

It's strange why GTA 4 is always lagging and no other game from what I've witnessed.

Many thanks.

sometimes gta4 can get laggy but you should test other games to see if it lags too.

try call of duty 4/5 then press start when your in multiplayer and you can see your connection bars.

most games everyone has green bars. but if your the only one with red bar than its probably your internet.

have you even tried testing your internet speed?

if you got less than 1meg than you probably would lag abit.

you can try opening your ports for your router.

i use bt homehub which is good but i had to open ports for Fifa 09 even though i use wired connection.

had netgear before but it broke down.

bt home hub is probably the best and easiest to use
