Can anyone help with Xbox 360 please?
I was looking into getting a PS3 as I have had PlayStation's since day 1. With the price been so high I was looking at getting an Xbox360 until it comes down.
I was looking at the Arcade pack but ive just been into Gamestation and they told me that its pointless to buy as you cant play any decent games as the memory is poor.
I don't have much money to spare so the only one I could afford was the Arcade pack. After hearing them say you cant play games Im a bit confused. If I ws to buy one I would like to get Fallout 3 & GTA to start with. Will I need to get an external hardrive??
Any advice would be great as the Gamestation staff have really confused me. They were trying to get me to but the Premium pack so maybe its just them trying to get more cash out of me.
Help????

You could play the games but you wouldnt be able to save anything, or install new updates without a hard drive. You could use a memory stick for those though if your a bit strapped for cash.
The answer to your Question is Somewhat of a No.
You do not need an External harddrive if you are going to play those Games, however you will need to buy a small memory card to save the game and create a gamertag. If you wish to play online and pay for the new features, then yes, you will an external harddrive.
-Please give best answer if this helped.
well obviously u can play games, but the memory card that comes wit it has a small amout of memory, buy the external hardrive and you'll be grand =)
Look at it this way.
1. xBox have several different consoles out. from the absolute basic (ARCADE) to the xBox elite.
2. PS3 have all the same functions across their consoles. Exept for their memory space (From 40gb to 160gb) Keep in mind that the first PS3 Console only has the PS2 backwards compatibility. (You can play PS2 Games on the PS3)
4. PS3 has the next generation of gaming and movies with Blu-ray DVD compatibility
3. xBox 360 has the INFERIOR (lesser quality) gaming HD and movie output. (HD-DVD) Keep in mind that HD-DVD are discontinuing all movie products due to competition against the SUPERIOR Blu-ray DVD compatibility the PS3 has.
Keep this fact in mind as well. The cheaper the product doesn't always mean the better value!
So if i were you (I was considering the two awhile ago) i would/did go for the best value console the SUPERIOR PS3.
It doesn't mean you can't play games on the Arcade, They probably meant that you don't have much memory, since that the memory card that comes with it holds only a small amount of memory. If you want to buy a hardrive it will cost a lot but you will have a lot of memory and you can update your 360.
That's partcially correct but not all of it..
Basically the arcade package comes with 256 memory which won't be bad for an offline playing, if you have GTA IV and Fallout 3 that'd be more than good to start with, maybe they're trying to get more money outta you but as an offline game experience that's ok to start with 256 memory unit.
then when you have the funds go for the 20GB-60GB-120GB.
Go for it..thats what I say
i agree with the ps3 guy, I bought a xbox and ive played it twice in 5 months. Thats right, two plays and its not through lack of games. The ps3 is the only way to go. My xbox is a pretty looking paperweight mind you.
Get one off ebay, I just got new one with a 20 gig harddrive and an hdmi port for $155. look up this seller aievideogames he gives you a 30 day warrenty on the 360.
