Do you think GTA San Andreas is a better game than GTA 4?
- You can't buy houses with garages or land, just crappy apartments.
- You cannot customize the cars and paint them a different color or give them nice wheels.
- The radio stations are TERRIBLE. You can control the volume of the little tv in your apartment but you can't control the volume of the radio station in your car so you can hear the person you're talking to on the phone.
- There are no casinos or places to gamble.
- You have all that money and nothing to buy.
- The cars are ridiculously hard to turn.
They took all the fun stuff from San Andreas and just threw it down the toilet. I'm highly disappointed.
i agree with you i hate the new GTA for all those same reasons and prefer GTA San Andreas much more like you sed about customizing the cars i love doing that and one thing i loved doing was the cheats on San Andreas i love flying around in a car or tank. so yes i agree with you all the way about GTA 4 is second to GTA San Andreas =)

i agree with you gta4
bad radio stations (i loved KDST)
only 5 safe houses
less weponary (more detailed though e.g driveby bullets)
taxi concept took up to much room (wanted more story)
took me only 5 days to complete 23hr game time( 3months excess for san an)
wished there was scarface style home design and sevices
NO AIRPLANES OR RHINOS
crappy multiplayer(FUKing bad Lag and even worse host system
does anyone remember back in the 90s healthcare was nice and cheap $100
now its $10000 for same service and
55k for 8 rpgs

GTA4 has multiplayer which doesn't lag if you have good connection.
Yeah, san andreas was MUCH better than 4. Sure, 4 had the good graphics, but thats no excuse for leaving SO much out of it and making a HORRIBLE online game.
I happened to like the driving in 4 however. It felt much more realistic than previous gta games. Instead of driving through cities with the gas pedal floored the whole time, you actually have to drive it somewhat realisticaly, keeping a reasonable speed through turns.
I HATED the fact that they put bowling and pool in the game, yet you couldnt play them online. Why even make a "free play" mode if the ONLY thing to do is run around killing each other? There werent NEARLY as many sidequests in it as there were in previous GTA games.
I hear you - GTA IV is good but saying its the best GTA would be to much for me they are missing alot of things - custom cars for sure should have been in there thats a pretty top idea to add to any game like this and having alot of money means nothing unless you can spend it on stuff - pretty much like you have already said really I'm with you - Its like they upgraded a old GTA game you know..
I just hope the fix this if they happen to make another..

GTA 4 is way over-rated, and im glad I found other people who share this fact.
I agree with you on all of the things you said, but I have to add a few.
-The new aiming system sucks
-Not too many clothes shops
-No Tattoos
-Theres just not as much map.
-Can't find a Sanchez for shit.
-Can't find a tank, doubt there is a tank.
-Pimping missions, Paramedic, Fire Man, House Robbing all taken out.
-They give you a knife, but you can't slash throats. That was entertaining man.
-With all those buildings you can't have an epic battle with cops anymore. If you're in one section of Liberty City, you might as well be almost anywhere else.
-Yeah ok, it goes online. Have you played San Andreas online for the pc? The things some people do modding the map is great.
I'm sort of with you here, one of the big things I was looking forward to is that this gen of consoles have HUGE amounts of storage, why then is there nowhere to store cars? Apart from the crappy area outside the apartments. Here is a list of my demands
1) A MANSION!! or a big house at least, I have about 1.3 Million in the bank and yet I'm living in a crappy apartment with a roof loft with electric transformers on it.
2) I want a decent place to store cars… lots of cars, im talking warehouses full.
3) A place to store heli's (Airstrip in SanAndreas) plus boats, rockstar have never let you store boats, WHY ???????
4) Why cant i buy real estate, you know do what gangsters are supposed to do, steal money then reinvest in property so that you go richer. I’ve completed the game as I’m sure al you guys have and the only way of actually still making money is mugging old ladys and nicking reselling cars, I’ve conquered the city for f**k sake. Which leads me onto my next point which I think should be essence of a GTA game.
5) in GTA I want MONEY, PROPERTY, STUFF and POWER. Where are my minions??

Lol all a bit tongue in cheek im not really that bitter the game looks amazing. The first game of the last gen of GTA was a bit crappy, San Andreas was well along in that generation, perhaps it will take a couple of goes in this new series of games……. fingers crossed
