having trouble getting online with my ps3?
i just bought a ps3 the other week and its the best way better than xbox 360. i have gta4 and the graphics are great.Now i need help getting online. i tried and went to settings network settings and went to do this wireless and when i got done it said that it failed. i have a DSL and wireless Router that has the WIFI. my ps3 is in my basement and my router and dsl are almost right above me. i have to put the ps3 downstairs because evryone upstairs is using the tv. plz help me to get online
Check these roadblocks:
ABOVE ALL: Do you have a Playstation Network account? You need to have a valid email address to create an account, then you’re ready to go.
1: Does your router require a password?
2: Are you using automatic setup? Manual requires knowledge of your router’s IP Address and more.
3: What is your signal strength when you scan for available wireless networks? If it is less than 30%, I would seriously consider moving your PS3 closer to your router or your router closer to your ps3.
4: Try turning off the search for media networks option.
