Haze for the ps3?????
It sounds to me like you're paying attention to only the hyped games, this is why so many people are disappointed when hyped games don't deliver.
Though they say gta4 delivered, and you can expect mgs4 to deliver at least for single-player, the online may have trouble…
but there's other games out there
As for Haze what struck me about it right off the bat was the ground textures, particularly the one that is a leaf-pattern, was so blatantly 2-D-looking a child could have designed it. They said they worked hard on it, I guess by that they didn't mean the graphics though.
There was some good stuff, such as good animations, especially when your shot hits an enemy and it takes a while before they fall over and you can tell that you hit them… but it's one of those slow shooters, like a lot of them are, and I think it's stupid that these supersoldiers can't move more than 4 miles an hour. Also that nectar makes it a bit too easy, and so does the objective pointer at the top, which discouraged me from going around and exploring in all that interesting vegetation.
The nectar thing is not a new idea either, Resistance fall of man has effectively the same thing with the Chimeran's rage mode. And it apparently uses an older, established 3d engine instead of being built on a custom-built new one.
If you are really into online, get Warhawk, it is still the best for online, though the only major 3rd-party ladder has had some problems with teams cheating. It's got all the best modes, and zones mode is an advance over the usual capture-all-the-bases thing, where the longer you occupy a base, the more territory you control around it, along with extra weapons and vehicles.
Best demo I've seen in a long time is the Bourne Conspiracy, it looks like sp only but it dares to do something new, and does it well. It gets your adrenaline going to, the short parts where you have to run, run, run and reach the next checkpoint, and the intermittent fights are surprisingly realistic and the controls intuitive and easy to master.

Comments on Haze for the ps3?????
I think (from the demo, which is not the best way to review a game), that Haze is a little hyped again. As you say the graphics were a little blocky in parts(lots of leaves and grass waving, in a block like way), the game play is smooth although a little awkward to control or know what you are meant to be doing, but, as with most games, this should get easier with more time playing.
If you like online play and you haven't got it already, Call of Duty 4 is great in all areas, except losing servers everynow and again, and not being able to join friends in games……….perhaps i better shut up now.
Resistance fall of man 2 is the one to watch out for…but you will being watching a while before release.
THIS SEPT ITS COMING OUT I THINK GOOD GAME..
I was a little played out on HAZE a while ago but now that it is getting closer and closer I think I'm going to pick it up.
I'm not going in expecting a Resistance Fall of Man or Call of Duty 4 but I am drawn in by the story and the idea of Nectar infused soldiers. It looks pretty cool.
Plus Ubisoft is making the game and they made Assassin's Creed so I'm sure the final version of HAZE will have some pretty nice visuals.
Anyways, I say go for it. Its gonna be tough to pull myself away from GTA 4 and COD 4 but if you think you want it you should get it.
The only persons opinion that matters on a game is your own.
try out the demo and see if you like it
I'm on the fence about getting Haze, too. I'm going to wait until I see more gameplay footage, since I wanted to see more than just the jungle scene in the demo. I've seen a bit of gameplay footage on Youtube that shows vehicle controls and different locations, and so far so good. Maybe I'll wait for a few more reviews on people who have played most of the game.
I'll probably get it after MGS4, which will keep me busy through the beginning of summer. I can't wait!
