As almost all of the other comments say, you’re better off with a PlayStation 3. It doesn’t have the ring of death which is an hardware failure and is the best entertainment system after PC on the market.

I’m going to let you know my opinion on both consoles.

Let’s start off with the Xbox 360. I’m playing Xbox 360 about three times a week at my friend’s house and I must say it’s pretty neat. The design outside is refreshing and it looks damn cool! Though it’s very noisy. I almost got one myself, but it was very not reliable and that’s why I bought a PS3: the only reason!

Then with the PS3: When I bought my PS3, I can tell you I was amazed. First of all, this is my first gaming console (I only had a PC laptop). And I was very impressed with the graphics, especially in Far Cry 2. I like the fact that I can play online for free, that I can watch bluray movies on my ps3 and so on.

Gta4 is also on the ps3, I want you to know that. And there’s games as good if not better than halo only for the ps3. A lot of the games that come out today are on both platforms anyway. My PS3 has been very reliable up to date.

In my opinion, get a PS3 because if you’d get a Xbox 360 you will get the ring of death in less than a year and you’ll need to replace your console. It has a free online service and can read blurays so it’s better. But make sure you have an High Definition TV because it looks way better on one, compared to a standard definition TV.
