i am going to get a PS3/box 360 what one should i get?
right now, the xbox 360 has a really good lineup of games. but after a while, i think the ps3 will have better games like final fantasy 13 and metal gear sold 4. but if you are only planning to play gta 4, i'd say go for the ps3. because if you compare them through specs, the ps3 hardware is twice as fast than the xbox 360. the ps3 also has a built in blu ray player (which costs $349 if you buy separately) also has a wifi reciever(for the xbox 360 you need to buy it separately for $99) and it also has an internet browser.
the xbox 360 already has an HDMI input included unlike the ps3. and right now, the xbox marketplace(online store) is much better than the ps3s. but as i can see now, after a while maybe a couple of years, ps3 will be ahead of the xbox 360 by a large margin.

If you have the money to buy a PS3 go for it then! Its amazing and its the highest tech console available right now, I would love if my parents gave me a PS3, they got be an Xbox
I would definitely get the 360. I have one and I absolutely love it. Had it for a few years now. I don't like playstations and their controllers suck. The xbox ones are way better and easier to use. It's kinda annoying when you can't play the game just because you can't use the buttons on your controller. The picture also seems a little better. I also have had playstation. So definitely xbox. Hope this helps.

I have a 360 with gta 4 and so far its really good.
if your son likes hardcore gaming, get the ps3
if he just likes casual play then get the xbox
in my opinion, i think the xbox is better.
if you have the money get the ps3, i have had mine for about a year and a half and its just simple awesome. Online play is free, u get free system updates, and just so much more than u do on xbox.
There is a bigger game selection for xbox right now but xbox has been out more than a year over ps3.
Ps3 will also have alot more to offer than the 360 does in the future aswell, such as Playstation Home.
