I Have An Xbox 360 That Will Read Everything I’ve Put In, Besides One Game?
I just got an Xbox 360 today off of eBay.
I got it and hooked it all up
It looks and runs well
I plugged it all in and put in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (also recieved off of eBay)
The game has NO scratches and NO fingerprints
But it wont run
It keeps giving me *This disk can not be read try to following blah blah*
After that I put in a scratched mix c.d I found and it played fine.
Then I put it in a scratched up DVD and that also worked fine.
I got curious so I went to a friends house and borrowed Grand Theft Auto 4.
It had some scratches on it but I put it in anyways.
It ran fine after it updated.
So it will play GTA4 but not Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
With Oblivion it never told me it had to install or update anything.
What is the problem and how can I fix it?

i think that someone may have tried to hack it. they may have tried to configure the stages or something. 360's can't read hacked games.

check the middle that could be it
well, unfortunately there might actually be a scratch in Elder Scrolls. Look at the back of the cd and look near the edge for a ring of scratch, a perfectly round scratch running all the way along the edge of the cd. If you see one, it means that while that game was in the Xbox, someone moved the xbox, and the xbox made a perfect round circle scratch along the edge of the cd. It happens because the cd goes lopsided and as it turns, it rubs against a piece of the XBOX and it makes a perfect scratch. I hope that you didn't buy the disc like that with the scratch, utherwise, you got ripped by the ebay seller. I hope this helps and I hope there isnt a ring of scratch near the edge of the disc.
