I would go with the PS3 because it is so much more than a game console. The Ps3 doubles as a Blu-ray player, and considering that we will eventually be switiching to Blu-ray pretty soon, you might as well get a game system out of it for the exact same price or less as a standard bluray player ($399). The best place so far to get the ps3 is at walmart. I think there is a deal posted on collegehead.net which has a link to a 40gb ps3 + $100 gift card (which you can use to buy GTA 4) for $399. They also teach you how to get it for much cheaper when you sign up for rewards cards.
