My Playstation 3 is broken for the 4th time, No idea what to do now. Maybe someone knows how to fix it?
Well i got a ps3 on january of 2008, 3 months later, it froze and just stopped reading bluray discs so i had to send it to sony. I had to wait about a month to get my refurbished ps3 so i played the refurbished ps3 and it lasted about 2 weeks til Gta 4 froze constantly (5 min.) and this weird dots just kept showing on the screen (wasnt broken pixels too) so guess what, i had to sent it in again. I had to wait about 3 weeks on that refurbished ps3. I got my ps3 back about a week before Mgs4 came out, got it when it came out, beat the game in about 3 days but it was also freezing in about 5-10 minutes into the game, i was just lucky enough to have at least 1 hour of gametime without having it froze on me. So i had to sent it back to sony again for the 3rd time, waited about 3-4 weeks. So i got my ps3 back about 3 days ago from this time i posted this and its doing basically the same thing, freezing constantly, im pretty sure its not overheating too, i have no idea what to do now. Help!
It freezes on all of my games just to let you know, sometimes the music just keeps playing too on all of the game, on some other occasion it turns off by itself, doubt its overheating cus the ps3 is not even that hot. thx for reading. help.
i already turned off the info board and it still freezes. I actually bought the ps3 because of the exclusive its was going to get like mgs4, i actually like some games on the 360.
i dont use my ps3 too long and i always turn off my ps3 after i used it, i even put a cover on it to protect it from dust, i have a laptop and i play some games on it but its not the latest laptop out there.
i take care of my discs and most of them are brand new with no scratches whatsoever
i actually bought a wii before my ps3, i didnt like it because of the games except RE4, i returned it
i doubt its the cover because i let it cool before i put it on. I have a 80 gb version.
im pretty positive that its not my actions responsible for this. I got my 4th ps3 3 days ago and i havent even played the thing for a couple of hours til it locked up. No stupid comments or if you're just gonna talk crap about it like putting stupid 360 comments, dont get me wrong i like the 360 but your wasting your time

I sure hope you didn't pass up on a 360 because you were concerned about it's reliability.

That's very strange for PS3. BTW, turn off Information Board, sometimes it causes freezes.
It may be because you keep your ps3 on too long. Try turning it off completely when you're done using it.
if u managed to phuck up your ps3 4 times you dont need a console get a laptop or somethin
Here's what you do.
Take you Crapstation 3, unplug it, take all your games/controllers/accessories, and you take it all out to the garbage can.
Once you have done that, you go to the nearest electronics store and buy an XBOX 360. Then, you buy Halo 3, GTA IV, and CoD4 and a year of XBOX Live.
All of your gaming troubles will forever be solved.

maybe they mixed the 360 with the ps3 that you got. just jokes. the ps3 has a fan so it cant over heat. are your disks not scratched like even a little hair line scratch can send them wako.
to get 4 bad PS3's is really unheard of. i dont know what you're doing, perhaps the "cover" you use to keep the dust out is the problem, as it's keeping the heat in. i dont know. i've had my 60 gig for almost a year, no issues. and none of my friends have had any issues. nor the poele i've sold PS3's to. it has to be something you are doing.
maybe your ps3 is mixed with the 360s hardware, that's probably why its breaking down
