PS3 trophy problems.?

I got my ps3 in april 2009 and I got two games (Mirror’s Edge & Little Big Planet) that you could get trophies in them and I did. I just recently found out that you could get trophies in gta 4 which was another game I got for my bday. The first game I ever played on that system was GTA 4 and I have system software 1. something at the time then I got Little big planet soon after and had to update to 2.42 and I did but at the time I was half done with GTA 4 so I couldn’t get trophies. Now I started a new game and I still can’t get trophies even though I have the appropriate system software. What could be the problem?

First go to your XMB, go all the way over to the left and click System Update, after you have done that, make sure you are logged in to the Playstation 3 Network, then start your game. It should ask you to upgrade to 1.03 or 1.04 if you are connected to the internet before you start the game.
