Question about purchasing a new console…?
I currently have a PS2 and am just looking for something better to play on. Im told the PS3 needs to be on a HD TV to look good… which i dont have. 360 has issues with the actual machine.
What i enjoy playing are games like Grand Tourismo (although i think this game has many flaws which ive heard that some sim games on 360 may have solved) Any simulation racing game (DIRT.. side question. Is "Dirt" and "Pure" on 360?) God of War… Castlevania… Ratchet and Clank… GTA…
I curently have a great gaming PC and have been told most games on 360 are on the PC. Not sure if this is true or not though. Would like to take my console with me as my job requires a lot of travel and dont want to tote my PC with me.
Any suggestions would be great!

You do not need a HD TV for the PS3 to look good. Sony made the PS3 knowing that not too many people are going to have a HD TV.
Pure and Dirt are on the 360.
If you want to play God of War, Ratchet & Clank, you’ll have to get a PS3. Those are PS3 exclusives.
If you want to know which system to buy, make a list of all the games that’s exclusive to each system that you must play. Which ever system has the most games that you want to play, then get that system.

in my opinion you should get the 360 it has a way better network and server, and it has better games (cough, cough, halo 3) the graphics are a bit better in some game like cod waw and xbox is better the end
Not every person in the whole world has an HDTV thats why they made the PS3 so affordable. I play on a 27 inch RCA from god knows when on all my systems. Microsoft is widespread unlike sony. Therefore their production is up through the ceiling! I have both and love them. If you take care of both systems both will be fine.Just beware of THE RED RING OF DEATH!!!!! It actually happens believe me. Better Games=360 Better system life=PS3
