Should I get the Xbox or Ps3?

Well, wii in itself isn’t as bad a console, disappointing maybe compared to the others such as the Xbox or the PS3 but not that bad cause I have it too. I also have the Xbox 360, but really the choice is up to you.

Based on your question, you seem to be looking more toward a gamer-oriented platform, which would best be the Xbox 360. It is cheaper than the PS3 and has good games that can’t be played on the PS3 (Halo series, Left 4 Dead, Gears of War, etc.) and also plays games as good as the PS3 (Call of Duty franchise, Grand theft auto, etc). It is a little annoying at times, I admit, to have to pay for the Xbox live gold services, but Xbox Live is better established than the PS3 version and plenty of people are always using it (hard to not find someone to play against or with).

If you are in search of a general entertainment system, then go for the PS3. The PS3 has a Blu-ray system compared to the Xbox 360, although Netflix is provided on Xbox Live and current users can stream through the Xbox. But since the PS3 costs much more than the Xbox 360, you’re pretty much paying for a cheap blu-ray player anyway.

On the platform’s durability, the PS3 is a little more reliable than the 360 since it’s a little delicate. I’ve never had any problems with mine, however, and the only problem you usually have to worry about is overheating if you are an avid gamer. In that case, I use a small fan that helps cool the 360 instead of buying a specific Xbox 360 intercooler, which essentially does the same as my fan.

But like I said before, the choice is up to you, and there are gamers on both platforms who will argue feverently for their system. Hope this helps!
