So do you like gta4 or san andreas better?
San Andreas graphics are REALLY bad on my TV, cuz it's huge (61") but the story is so much better. And free roam is a pain in 4 because there are so many cops and they just shoot at your right off. Well, hopefully 5 will be better. It just sucks because I was really looking forward to 4!!!
I agree with you, The Truth was awesome! Every character On San Andreas was memorable. I like multiplayer on GTAIV, and as you mentioned, better graphics. but one of my favorite things is getting into a 3 or 4 star cop chase in the middle of the woods on San Andreas. if you know the countryside well, yoiu can really screw with the cops.
I also really liked flying planes in San Andreas. Plus, it took me a really long time to get 100 percent in San Andreas [I didn't cheat] and Im already almost at 100 in IV. I guess im not sure which I like better, but San Andreas is at least almost as good, you can do things you can't in four, and San Andreas will always be one of the best PS2 games and one of my favorite games. What would be cool is if they remade San Andreas for PS3 and 360!

It will get better as the story progresses, however I liked San Andreas MUCH better than GTA IV. The funny thing is that once I beat GTA IV, I went back to playing San Andreas for fun (free-roaming) than free-roam on GTA IV. The storyline on GTA San Andreas was much better.
While the graphics are a lot better on GTA IV, I actually prefer San Andreas' graphics because it fits in with the GTA arcade-style game that GTA is.
hands down san andreas.. gta4 there was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much hype about it. man i was so excited for it and then i play it and the only thing thats actually good is the good graphics, like i played it for 3 days and wanted to sell it.
well san andre was way too long. i never even finsihed but i had fun messing around. the cheats were better too but the 4th is easier and follows a better story line. the map is smaller but a good size and the cops arent as big of pains. driving is harder though in gta4
I like San Andreas better, because the storyline on San Andreas is very memorable…and GTA4 is almost the same as #3, only graphical improvements…
I havent played San Andreas, but I have played Vice City, and Saints Row.
GTA4 is awesome, although, I think the online needs to be organized and done better. For single player, the graphics were nice but I just dont like sytle of the grahpics.
But the things that bother me, bother me very little. I havent beat the game, but already looking forward to where Rockstar will make GTA next. =]
San Andreas ftw. San Andreas had the best free roam. GTA4's characters were lame and the missions were basically clones of each other. About 70% of the missions were:
1)get in the car and drive somewhere
2)find guy u have to kill
3)chase guy
4)kill guy
5)go back to start another mission.
plus they got rid of some features san andreas had and put it some really weird ones….i don't want to go on dates in a video game…it was funny in san andreas because you could kill them. but in gta 4 they just call u and nag.
Actually, I far prefer GTA4. I think as story goes, it's far superior. Actually, I think the writing in general is far superior.
I hated GTA SA's ending, I couldnt think of a worse ending than what I played something like 80 hours to see.
On the other hand, I liked both of GTA4's endings.
As for memorable characters… VC had Tommy Vercetti and he's the only one I remember. SA had CJ and Woo and those are the only two I can name. GTA4 has characters that were exceptionally developed and I feel I'll remember a great many of them.
But in terms of stuff to do, GTA SA had a lot more and I really missed the clucken bell radio commercials, which werent in GTA4

gta 4 is good but san andreas has a more compelling story mode and alot more fun to mess around with, with the cheats and all the things you can do, san an dreas is just better.
graphichs for gta 4 is better though. but what more could you expect, its a ps3 game and sanandreas is a ps2 game.
the graphichs are better than the xbox
I like Grand Theft Auto: SanAndreas better because the story seemed bigger, even though GTAIV's was. I wish there was a lack version of nikko in gta4 . that'd make it so much funner. you GOT 2 admit!
well i really like the european theme to the new one even though they took the free roam fun out of the new one and mad it too life like
As much as I love San Andreas and the many Californian based gangs/themes/music (Grove Street, Ballaz, etc), but I have to say GTA4!
