360 did not steal the idea of avatars from wii or ps3 because avatars were invented way before these consoles were even out.
Anyways, I own all 3 consoles and I personally like 360 the best. Xbox live is so much fun and is the best out of all 3 consoles and is totally worth every cent you pay on it. And the new dashboard is going to be sweet, with the party mode of up to 8 players is going to be WAY better than the stupid private chat lol. Not to mention streaming live video from netflix AND ppl in your party can watch the movie with you, how cool is that??
My ps3 is only used for exclusives and hd movies. For me it just isn't as good as 360 when it comes to games and online play. I hate that the headsets are all 3rd party and no one seems to have one online. And that you have to keep filling out forms just to play each game. It just isn't as good right now as the 360 but who knows what it will be like in the future. Which seems to be the ps3's motto, it is always about what it is going to be like in the future. It never seems to have the stuff now.
And finally the wii, this system is great when you have ppl over and when you are bored of the other 2(which is really rare lol). It does not have a good line up of games though and can't always rely on mario to save the day. It also doesn't have a good line up of games to come with the the exception of a very few games. Plus the online isn't never going to be as good as the other 2 without headsets, it just seems like you are playing the computer without them.

Before I start I would like to point out that I think both are good consoles. I myself do not have a PS3, though I have played it. I am a lot more experienced with the XBox 360. I think that the 360 is better, and its probably a biased opinion. The PS3 is great and all, and it has come up with pretty good games, but the one thing that makes the 360 amazing is the online community. Since the 360 is and was more affordable (and it coming a year earlier didn't hurt), more people have it. Hence, more people can be found playing online on the 360 than the PS3. The multiplayer is a lot better (I think), though the PS3 has the advantage of holding more controllers per console. The 360 is not lacking single-player games either. Gears of War had great campaign, Halo is famous, and BioShock is something no one can deny. They both have its pros and cons, but I personally prefer, and recommend, the 360.

i own all 3 of them i have almost al consles ever and i say the best 1 is xbox360 it has a better game selection and the graphics hardly have a difference to ps3and finaly the xbox360 looks cooler and has way coooler remotes if u get the wirless ones

i think its point less to argue over something this simple both great systems and true gamers dont really care about what features one has than the other. i personally have both and enjoy them EQUALLY so stop all the fanboy nonsence

For a start you should probably ignore everyone talking all in caps as they're most likely a PS3/360 fanboy and will slag the other off for no reason, unless you want a bias opinion of course.

Reasons why 360 is better:

Has been out longer and has a bigger catalogue of good games. Since you mention GTA IV as one the games, Microsoft have signed a deal with Rockstar meaning much more exclusive content for the 360 than the PS3 will get. A lot of people complain about the fact that Xbox Live costs money, lets be serious here, for 1 year it costs the same as 1 game, and personally, I can't go back to offline games, I love the competition of other players. "But the PS3's online is free", but it doesn't get nearly as good service as xbox live, everyone i've spoken to thats played online in both PS3 and Xbox live agree the service is much better than sony's equivalent.

Reasons PS3 is better:

as all the fanboys are so quick to point out "THE PS3 IS SO MUCH FASTER", which is true, it is the stronger console. But while they were away developing their "Cell" processor, Microsoft and nintendo both had their consoles out for a fraction of the price the PS3 would be. Then there are arguments about the PS3's price, people saying its cheaper overall because with the PS3 you get wireless internet connectivity, blu-ray drive etc, and if you buy all of that for the 360 it'll cost more. Who is actually going to buy ALL of those add-ons for the 360, i'd rather buy the ones that i'm going to use than get them bundled with the console and get charged so much more.

So yes, the PS3 is the stronger console by the specs of it, but the xbox has more games that at least I am interested in playing, and has the better online facilities IMO. It really depends what you're really looking for in the console. If you want a wider variety of games, probably 360, although i'd certainly look into the catalogue of games for both consoles before deciding, If you want prettier graphics go PS3. It comes down to the individual's requirements from the console. So really, don't buy into all the fanboyism, really, why are you so loyal to a corporation that doesn't particularly care about YOU specifically. Its as sad as the NVIDIA vs ATi arguments in PCs. Take your needs, and get the corresponding console, for some people thats PS3, and for others its 360.

thank you for putting this up ps3 sucks the online sucks,the games suck only good one was mgs4 ,kill zone 2 why are they making it the first one sucked , play station home wtf its the sims with better graphics. now 360 great online play great games like bioshock and no offense i hated gears of war, why are people saying 360 is noisy i cant here a thing when im playing games its just something that ps3 owners say cause they cant think of anything bad to say about it. and the red rings of death i never got it so i could care less about it
