URGENT!!! ps3 breakdown!!!?
ok so i downloaded 2.40 no problems what so ever, downloaded 2.41 no problems what so ever…today i was playing gta and im on the last mission just killed the guy, the loading screen was there for ages so i tried to turn my ps3 off, it wouldn't turn off, so i took the cd out and it turned off. after a while, say 10-15 minutes later i turned it on trying to play gta again and the god damn drive wouldn't read any of my discs…so i think it died…any one knows what i can do to solve this problem? i've the ps3 for a long time and it had a 1 month warranty which i actually lost…anyway what can i do? btw i live in london

go to the playstation website and find the playstation help line number. apparently they were getting complaints about the upgrade causing problems so they will replace it if it was because of the upgrade

ya i heard stories about that.In fact they even have that on youtube.Perhaps its a bug in the disk.U have two options one,have ur warrenty to replace ur current system.Two,idk about this IF they have a update to resolve this.
You're on the wrong website. Try contacting Sony and getting them to fix it. As bashar said, they'll replace it if you mention the update.
