What should i get? Ps3 or Wii or Xbox360?
First of all this question has been asked about 1MILLION times, so you could just search for those answers second go with a PS3.
Because PS3 has the best graphics, MGS4 only uses 30% of the PS3s capabilities and looks better then any 360/Wii game.
PS3 plays blu rays, gives game developers the ability to put loads of stuff in their games blu rays hold up to 50g, 360 uses dvds max 16g or something in that range same with Wii.
PS3 comes with wifi, as does the wii, you have to pay an extra $100 for this with 360.
PS3 has free online play, so does wii, 360 is $60 a year.
PlayStation hasn't announced a new system yet, 360 and wii both have with an aim to release the new ones in 2010. Meaning 360 will lose all support from Micro$oft, and Wii will lose Nintendo's focus, so no new stuff. PS3 will be supported till at least 2014.
PS3 is an actual next gen system taking a new approach to graphics processing, which works better then anything else on the market. 360 uses the same tried old approach introducing nothing new, and a Wii isn't technically next gen, since hasn't even moved beyond the PS2 in graphics capability.
PS3 has bluetooth controllers that come with a lithium battery i.e. no wasting money buying AA for your controls like you will with 360 and Wii.
PS3 has something like ~230 games, Xbox has ~260 not sure about the Wii.
PS3 80g 60g and 20g, models all support backward compatibility of PS2 and PS1 games. PS3 40g supports bc for ps1 games. 360 very little/almost none bc to Xbox 1 games. Wii has bc to gamecube games.
Now down to the controlers, PS3 has the same tried and tested controller that we all love only with a new sixaxis feature allows motion control, 360 has its same rip off of the PS controller only without sixaxis. Wii sports a new take on controllers altogether motion sensitive is what they aim for, its a new take on gaming that is fun for party games, but not as fun by yourself (the majority of the wii games are party games too).
Lets examine the price cliam now, PS3 40g=$399, PS3 80g (Metal gear solid bundle comes with game controller)= 499. 360 elite=$450, 360 halo 3 edition= 399. Wii= 249.
The Wii is the cheapest console, and it appears 360 comes in second, but in reality most people would have to buy a $100 wifi adapter, and add on xbox live (online play) for another $50, also add on a recharge kit for the controller(s) ~$20 apiece (you need one for each controller, because of the lithium battery) and the 360 becomes the most expensive.
There is also reliability 360s have a 36% chance to die on you PS3 has a 0.02% chance to one you and I don't know what a Wiis chance is but I think they have a track record close to a PS3. I think a 36% chance is way to high and that in itself is a reason to stay away from the 360.
So I would recommend going with the actual next gen system the PS3 most bang for your buck or going with the cheaper Wii which is also a justifiable choice. Don't get the 360 its basically the equivalent of a low end PS3 that costs just as much or more after buying essential things.
Also Castian's comment about PS3s having a huge overheating glitch is severely wrong its the 360s that came out with this problem, and they still have it even with the new chipset. As I said before PS3s only have a 0.02% failure rate, 360s have a 36% failure rate. I have also read from that if you do end up sending your PS3 in you will likely have it back in 2 weeks this is most likely due to the fact that there isn't a huge backlog of them like 360 where you have to wait at least 30 days.

I have owned an Xbox 360, 6 playstation 3s, and a Wii
Xbox is by far the better gaming console. It is top notch technology, and has the best arrary of games.
The online is amazing, and very stable. It is easy to connect with millions of people for your various games.
The ps3 is about the same graphics as the Xbox 360, but the game selection is very lacking, the online is not stable, and is hard to navigate. Its not near as easy as xbox live.
Not to mention the controls are not near as comfortable.
Think about it, when you want a gaming system, do you want Microsoft (the inventor technology) or Sony (the overpriced TV sales people)
Also in its time Xbox 360 has had a few major problems, but Microsoft has given full replacments for those bad boxes.
PS3 came out with a huge overheating gliche, and to my knowledge it was not an easy process getting it replaced.

Wii, is fun, but only if you have a large group of people. I sold my Wii about 3 months after having it,
Its not fun for single player, or even two players. you need a party.
The online is not very good, and the graphics are of course bad.
It is a fun technology, and i deffintiley reccomend getting it, but get the Xbox 360 first.

PS3 - It's well worth the money.
Get a 360, better graphics, better games, its a much more multiplayer friendly system; its so much fun to play Gears of War or Halo 360 with friends, easier compatibility basically.
get a girl friend there much better ; )
Have a wireless connection? Get the Wii. Want really good graphics or play Rock Band? Get the 360.
Wii because the way that it works when you have to move with the game is awsome! It is really cool!
hi i wouldnt go for the ps3 because in like 2 year they would probablly bring out a ps4!! i have a wii and they are great i think you should get a wii
although i would like a ps3 i would have to say no to it because of the price

better games, more games to choose from, better online service, cheaper, about 100-200 cheaper.
The ps3 is the best. It has a installed hardrive and you get to play with other people online for free unlike the 360. If your looking for a console with value you should get the wii, but although the wii is the hardest to find in all 3 consoles.

Well I am not a fan of XBox 360 but I am not a big into video games. I do know that the PS3's are lower in price now. BUT I will be forever a fan of Nintendo. I am getting a Wii this weekend. More options in the types of games and more games to play with other people.

Wiis are very cool mate, so I'd go with the Wii, I mean come on you get to kind of be in the game. Fighting games are very cool on the Wii.
PS3 most likey, it doesn't have any bugs or coolent problem like the XBOX 360. The Wii is an awesome system as well, but i say go for the most advance which is PS3, i got one for 80 GB, never had a problem with it, but it is very expensive. besides, i always liked the PS controller out of all the other ones, it helps me play at my best.
Id go for 360 and Wii before PS3
360 because of its graphics and great games and you dont need two or more players if your on your own!
Wii because its fun and you have to move a lot but its not that great if you dont have someone to play with!
My brother owns all three of those systems and I will tell you some things about them
Wii - you can buy games that will get you up off the couch (wii fit, wii sports, Dance Dance Revolution) or you can buy a disc that you pop in and you can sync it up to your computer/laptop and look at pics, listen to music and you can also get some weird tv channels. Its fun for anyone and the games are so interactive that you just cant help but have a blast. It also plays movies.
PS3 - this console is quite expensive (depends on the hard drive you choose to get with it) but its also quite fancy
you can play the new blu-ray dics and also regular DVD's and CD's on this console. The controllers are wireless (just make sure to keep em charged up) and the controls are a nice touch.
X-Box360 - has one thing NO other console has… HALO! If you are into first person or co-op games, then this game/console is for you. Other then that, I'm not too overly impressed with it.
If I were you, I would go with either the Wii or the PS3

most places that sale these items have a display set up of each item to where you can check them out and if you can find somebody there that action knows the items and talk to them about the game systems place you can look them up on the Internet and read about each one ONLY YOU CAN PICK OUT WHAT YOU LIKE SO DO A LITTLE RESOURCE
I would suggest PS3 or Wii, because the Xbox 360 might be fun, but it overheats immediatly, already a medium sized cost, but it's got plenty of games, While ps3 is a failure in that. And the wii has graphics issues.

if ud want a cheap(moneywise) system thats just fun, and got motion sensoring, go for wii, but it doesnt have games like COD 4, GTA IV, etc. but still alot of ppl like their wiis, idk y, cuz i dont have one.
if u want a system that has the best online service(as of now) and games(as of now) go w/ 360. BUT, its really unreliable, it has a 11%-33.3% failure rate wich is really high, but when it works, its really fun to play.
if u want a system that has the best hardware and features, with good things coming to it, go for ps3. its the most powerful, yet its really reliable. blu ray is good not only for videos, but for games, cuz games look better on blu ray, and game makers have way less limits if they make games on blu ray. ps3 doesnt have that big of a game library, but it has good games like MGS4, uncharted, resistance, etc. but it has alot of exclusives coming this year. its online service isnt as good as XBL, but its free and uses dedicated servers, besides its getting a kickass feature… cough… cough… home.. cough…
overall, all r good systems each have ups and downs, consider owning at least 2. i myself own a ps3 and a 360, and luv em, im considering to get a wii, so yea… choice is up to u
