Which console works best for “Grand Theft Auto IV”?
The freeze up problem happens on both xbox 360 and ps3. My roommate has the PS3 and GTA 4 runs perfectly. No problem at all. Another thing you have to worry about the Xbox 360 is that it breaks….often….very often. I have friends who's on their 3rd and 4th xbox because of hardware failure. Another thing about the xbox 360 is that, just in case, in the future, you want to play online, and your router is too far from your xbox, you have to buy the Microsoft wireless adapter…which runs about $70 to $100. And you have to pay $50 a year to play online…PS3 is free. So, in the end…PS3 comes out to be cheaper, and is a better quality machine.
And no, im not a fan boy. I actually own the xbox 360.

i personally would go with the XBOX 360 because its a better console over all
ya the ps3 is cool and all with the XMB main menu put i think its and oversized PSP(which i recommend getting(with custom firmware))
but i'd go with the 360, great graphic, great games.
hope my advice helped
I have the PS3 version the textures are highly detailed and change very much through the time of day. It froze up on me twice about 5 hours into the game. These were back to back freezes after shutdown console i brought it back up right away. (i have an older PS3 that over heated on resisantance also) after second freeze i stood up the console and let cool i have 30+ hours on it and no freezes after that. I have not noticed on my ps3 copy trees or other things coming out of nowhere. I do lose street texture when speeding across a bridge though.
The game freezing up on PS3 isn't a PS3 issue..it's the install of the original game. If it does freeze, it'll usually freeze right at the beginning, in which case, you just delete the original install and load the game back up, letting it reinstall…problem solved. With my PS3 version, it has no pop-up issues and hasn't frozen up once…and like I said, it only freezes up early in the game, if it will at all, so it won't "freeze up on you from time to time." And also, I've compared the game on both consoles side by side and the Ps3 is slightly better graphic-wise. And just so you know, I'm not a fanboy, cause I own both the PS3 and 360.
