I have been arguing with myself 4 a while now about which games console, I want 4 christmas and i have decided i either want want a wii or a ps3, but which one should i choose.

I have a family of 4, my mum, my dad, my big brother and me.
my parents think that games consoles are all about pressing random buttons, and getting no excercise aswell as distacting people from reality.
I think that by getting a wii i would be able to prove them wrong slightly but also, i think wii would also bring a lot of fun into my family.

But i also own a Ps2 and i want a ps3 because it has great games like Gta iv and motorstom, it has free online and it has blueray, it would be easy to play and i could play online for free with people like my friends who also own ps3s.
I think a ps3 would probably bring joy to just me but i think not so much joy to other people, being as the ps3 has very few 2 player games, however it would allow us to play blueray discs.

I just can’t decide which one to choose and i’m hoping that you people could help me reach the end of my search.
