i have both the 360 and the wii, i would get the 360 i got 40 games for the 360 more games, the wii i only have 3 games i like for it

Hi i agree with Fable and Gta4, but Wii has also good games, animal crossing is a good option, but if you want more mature themes try to play metroid prime 3 corruption, the legend of zelda twillight princess, and super smash bros brawl, by other side both consoles have RPGs

alright if the only reason you want wii is animal crossing then you should get the 360. The 360 is known for its more mature games such as gears of war 2, gta4, halo 3, call of duty 4, bioshock, i could go on. If you like fable (personally not a fan) you should also get this cause i hear the second is just as good. This is also a console for shooters especially compared to wii (as you can see for the several games i listed above). As for the rpgs go, so far not many successful ones, but its got some and final fantasy XIII is coming out for the first time to an xbox and even though i havnt played any of the final fantasies, they're apparently good and the best rpgs out there. not even a question get a 360…I thought the wii was cool and it is but it gets boring after a month…I bought a wii and boxed and bowled for a week and havent touched it since….I went out and bought a 360 best investment ever…i play it everyday…the wii is cool and all but having to jump around and gets boring and tiredsome quick I promise you will not be disappointed with a 360…here is the real question and the hardest….

The best bet with a xbox is the elite one which is 400…now should you spend that 400 on a outdated but proven game system…or spend it on the ps3 the latest and greatest but with no real games…..

Wii doesn't have a large list of good games. I own both a 360 and Wii and to be honest Wii is made to go towards very casual gamers. Because you like shooters and RPGs you are definately much more suited to the 360…

Fallout 3 and Oblivion are sweet as far as rpgs go and you would have call of duty, halo, bad company and about a million other shooters for the 360.

The wii is fun for a little bit but right now there really aren't any title that are good as far as shooters go and not many of the games have much depth to them.

The wii is kind of superficial at this point… It could become better with some new games and better motion sensing capabilities.

And I know a lot of these games can be cross platform but really any cross platform game for the wii has far less in it that its ps2 or 360 couterparts

Then you want an Xbox 360

It's the only system that has gears of war, and it also has great online capabilities and a wide selection of games, especially shooters and rpg's.

Don't get me wrong the Wii is a good system, but only for certain games, any game that's on both the Wii and Xbox always turns out to be better on the Xbox.

I have a Wii and a PS3. Very sadly the Wii has been very dissapointing.
There are practically NO hardcore games for it. The only one I can think of is Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. And mabey Smash Bros.
I usually don't like the 360(only like 2 good exclusives) But If you have to get one of the two, get the 360. Or if you have enough, GET A PS3!!! It is amazing. And to prove it just search around Y!A for 360 v.s. PS3 and you will understand.

gta4 is the best game ever in the entire world. get a 52 inch lcd tv with surround sound and sub when you buy your 360 elite.

get the ps3! if you don't have enough money, you should save. Ps3 has cool things that the 360 doesn't. But if you only want either a wii or a 360, go for the 360 since 3 of the 4 things you stated is for the 360. but 2 of the 4 are also ps3 games..online!

Xbox 360

Given your requirements it all points out to the 360 and If you enjoy Gears and Fable you will definately enjoy Fable 2 and Gears of War 2 including all the new and existing RPG's. The Wii is ok but asides from the inovative controllers there aint nothing there, if you like Animal Crossing then you will enjoy Viva Pinata and Other similar games for the 360. Trust me I have both Systems and I have 10 games for the 360 and only Wii sports for the Wii (I rent them from gamefly and 3 out of 5 suck.

You will get bored of wii fast. Animal crossings is a really good game but after that there's nothing left. Xbox 360 has the whole xbox community to interact and become friends with and they are only making even more and better multiplayer games that would keep you occupied for months. Just look at gears 2, and COD. You can never find someone NOT playing a certain game on xbox.

They are both fun but the wii only has a couple fun games and then you get bored of it. The wii is also a family gaming system so there's only a couple mature games and it's because of stupid characters.
Xbox 360 welcomes gamers of any age, my youngest kid wants me to play little kid games with her like Lego Indiana Jones and I've even enjoyed it. Xbox also includes xbox live where you can play with people from around the world and everybody has something to contribute when playing in a team. It also has achievements that are fun to collect in any game.

Some people seem to forget that the Wii was created with FAMILY in mind, hence the more E-rated games. I enjoy the Wii because I love the Harvest Moon Franchise, Zelda, SSB, and other more kid-friendly games because if I wanna beat the crap out of something I just practice combatives with the hubby. If you want to go with the shot-em-up games, I say the 360. It's cheaper and you have the same games as the PS3. Now that Microsoft has worked out the kinks in the system it should be good. The Wii is one of the last gaming systems out there that are geared twards the younger generation of gamers. If you have younger siblings, nieces/nephews, or kids that hang around you alot, I would suggest the Wii. Or else you could get a call from the school from some fat, balding principal hyperventilating from the fact your (enter relation) said the word 'shot' in school and set the entire faculty into hysteria.

Absolutely not the 360 because by time you spend A Year On line $50 plus 200 plus a A $60 dollar game plus another controler you will have spent more than you would for a ps3 then you have to pay taxes on the 360. In my opinion i own both I think ps3 is the better system Because it has great games already out and it has more games as well coming out.

Killzone 2 will be the best Gameplay and Graphically the best game youve ever scene when it comes in march.
