xbox 360 problems !!!?

ok ..got the system at xmas ..the pro model with the hd ..ever since we got it ..it has made irregular sounds ..it has scratched the hell out of games ..it freezes all the time ..for example ..ill be able to drift in forza 2 for maybe 15 minutes ..i just got gta4 last nite ..i can play for maybe 5 minutes tops ..etc. ..i refuse to buy a new one ..and i refuse to send it back to microsoft ..because theyll want the hd with it ..and there goes all my stuff saved ..is there any way i can get this resolved without going broke ..im pretty sure its the dvd-rom in the system ..will gamestop repair it or anything ..please ..i need help ..im goin crazy staring at my new games i cant play ..!!!

and trust me ..its not freezing because of poor ventilation and any other excuse microsoft has for putting out a horrible system ..they should have taken the time to fix everything before mass producing it ..not make us feel stupid for their mistakes making this ..

if it has a warranty you should be able to contact xbox company by checking out their website(google it)

Tell them the problem and you may be able to send it to them and they may fix it or send you a new one, that is what I did with my original xbox.

although, you should have contacted them during Christmas, since the first shipments of xbox 360's did have many problems accruing.

you might have just purchased a 360 that had been one of the first prototypes.

edit: by contacting I mean by phone, not e-mail, the customer service is actually very helpful.

XBOX is a sad console especially the 360 how bout you trade it in and get a Wii or a PS3 they are 10 times better than Xbox.Anyway just send it back or something but dont ask for a new one or it will prob screw again!

If you want to keep the memory you can sign out and then when you get you new xbox you can recover gamertag.If that dosen't work with the memory then pull out the memory chip. The only problem now is the HD. If you are going to get a new xbox then I would not get the elite again…the reason why I say this is because you can buy a seperate hd tv player indtead of buying a whatever more it costs xbox elite.This way you can use the hd player for 2 things.
