Xbox 360 seems to be leaving circular scratches in games…?

It’s happened to both my Left 4 Dead 2, and my GTA4 Expansion. Now these scratches, kill CDs. How can I keep this from happening.

And for those who are about to post stupid answers: No, I don’t move or flip it while the disc is spinning.

My Xbox is also, well, 3 years old… is this the issue as well?

If there is a perfect circle, then that means the xbox did it. This generally happens when the xbox is up and down instead of on its side. When the xbox is standing up, and falls, the discs will get ruined. Return the game and you will be on your way. You can also call Xbox live Customer Support.
