Xbox360 better than PS3 games?

Games like GTA IV, Tony Hawk Project 8, Burnout Paradise, and other games that are both avilable for 360 and PS3, but why does Xbox 360 gets better ratings than PS3 even though they are the same game? One of my friend says that Halo 3 came out on 360 since Halo game is popular. I dont get it! Is my friend right or wrong?

Bear in mind that the xbox360 had a year headstart on the PS3.

As a consequence, many crossplatform games which are out on both, would have been developed primarily for the xbox, then ported over to the PS3, at a later date. Hence the lack of visual gains on the PS3. - If the company did a crap port of the game, the score suffers.

Not only this, but the PS3 is apparently harder to develop for, so its only this year you're going to start to see games that really showcase what the PS3 can do.

These are reasons why games released so far tend to do better on the 360. As for exclusive titles like Halo, it was made by a company owned by Microsoft. See also Lionhead Studios - also owned by MS.

I would think it's because of the achievement system. The 360 isn't as powerful hardware wise as the PS3. I own both and I'd say the PS3 runs better. But the 360 has better games.

yeah. i have an xbox 360..AND IM A GIRL!!!! im TOTALLY IN LOVE with xbox360. my favoritest game is halo3. ps3 no offense SUCKS so much! xbox360 allows you to do so much!!!!!! as a matter of fact, i just finished playig halo3. if ur planning on getting one or the other,….CHOOSE XBOX360!!!!!!!

Halo 3 came out on the 360 because MICROSOFT owned Bungie at the time. In October 2007 they spun off bungie and still own a huge chunk of it. Tell your friend that microsoft seperated a little from bungie so halo 3 profits would not be subject to the lawsuits regarding the dreaded red ring of death.

Ironically the lawsuit filed against microsoft regarding red ring also names bungie so I guess microsoft is screwed anyway.
